RYA Junior Club Championships Grand Final
19th September to 20th September 2026 at Northampton Sailing Club
The first-ever RYA Junior Club Championships is here. A brand-new national event designed to celebrate the energy, talent and team spirit of junior club sailors across the UK.
Taking place 19-20 September at Northampton Sailing Club, the Grand Final will bring together the top junior teams from every RYA region and Home Country for a fun, competitive and highly sociable weekend of racing.

About the Championships
The Junior Club Championships is a team-based competition that gives clubs the chance to showcase their emerging junior talent while encouraging participation, teamwork and club pride.
It’s all about:
- Team spirit
- Club representation
- Exciting, friendly racing
- How the Grand Final works
Each qualifying club is invited to enter a team of six sailors, made up of:
- Two single-handed sailors (Toppers – 5.3 rig)
- Two double-handed crews (RS Fevas – XL rig)
- Teams must also include at least two boys and two girls.
Boats
Competing clubs are asked to provide:- One Topper (5.3)
- One RS Feva (XL)
How to qualify
A total of 20 club teams will reach the Grand Final.Qualification is through regional interclub events held throughout the 2026 season.
The top two clubs from each area will qualify:

- Scotland
- Wales
