Three days of challenging conditions in the Western solent. An (approximately) northery breeze ranging from 2kts to 15kts with large shifts making every beat an opportunity to make large gains (or concede large losses). Some excellent courses from Robin Milledge and the LTSC race team incorporating some windward-leewards and some round the cans. With two races to go - the title could have been won by any of the top 5 boats and there was fantastic close racing in the middle and back of the fleet. Furthermore the club provided excellent hospitality each evening, making it a truly memorable nationals once again.

Great Racing, Great Weather, Great Company. Two races on Saturday in SW wind starting around 8kts building to around 15kts. Very shifty. 1 race on Sunday in a S breeze of up to 20kts at times but dying throughout the day.

Island Sailing Club

A vintage race with spectacular conditions. Rough past the Narrows before fetching to St. Kats but broad enough to fly spinnakers to gybe round Bembridge. Round the Island unfortunately coincided with the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of the class. Several boats completed RTI and continued to join the party in Lymington where they were met with great applause!

Parkstone Yacht Club

Glorious sunshine throughout. A tough upwind leg from Cowes to Parkstone YC, with over 20kts on the nose and a confused sea state resulting in some boats practising their submarine skills. The race there incorporated the inaugral Contessa 32 bake-off with 5 boats managaing to bake en route which were then judged by the Parkstone YC Rear Commodore at the Pontoon party. An excellent evening meal was followed by a gorgeous downwind leg home on Sunday, although the gusts were fruity at times. Andaxi proved victorious in both the sailing and the cake competition!
